PhotoBanana uses on-device AI to scan your Apple Photos library, group visually similar photos, and automatically pick the best keeper in each group. No cloud uploads, no account, no subscriptions.
Core features
- Visual similarity detection — Apple Vision AI finds resizes, crops and retakes that file-level checks miss.
- Smart auto-selection — face detection and quality scoring pick the shot where everyone is smiling and sharp.
- Orientation fix — detects sideways photos from old cameras and corrects EXIF rotation.
- Non-destructive — deleted photos go to Recently Deleted, recoverable for 30 days.
Privacy
- All processing happens on-device using the Apple Neural Engine.
